GAMBARAN PENERIMAAN DIRI PADA LANSIA YANG DITITIPKAN OLEH KELUARGA DI PANTI SOSIAL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran penerimaan diri pada lansia yang dititipkan oleh keluarga di panti sosial, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruh penerimaan dirinya. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengambilan data dilakukan di Yayasan Hargo dedali Surabaya dengan partisipan berjumlah tiga orang yang berjenis kelamin perempuan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan empat tema terkait penerimaan diri yaitu kesadaran diri, pengembangan potensi, persepsi terhadap peristiwa negatif, dan penilaian positif terhadap diri sendiri, serta satu tema terkait faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan diri. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa ketiga lansia memiliki penerimaan diri yang cukup baik karena beberapa aspek dari penerimaan diri telah terpenuhi, namun pada dua partisipan masih memiliki kontrol emosi yang buruk ketika menghadapi peristiwa negatif seperti perselisisahn dengan teman.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of self-acceptance in the elderly who are entrusted by their families in social institutions, as well as the factors that influence their self-acceptance. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out at the Hargo Dedali Foundation in Surabaya with three female participants. This study resulted in four themes related to self-acceptance, namely self-awareness, potential development, perception of negative events, and positive self-assessment, as well as a theme related to factors that influence self-acceptance. The results of this study can be seen that the three elderly have fairly good self-acceptance because several aspects of self-acceptance have been fulfilled, but two participants still have poor emotional control when facing negative events such as disputes with friends.
