Kesejahteraan Subjektif Pada Single Mother yang Bekerja dan Memiliki Anak Disabilitas

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran kesejahteraan subjektif pada single mother yang bekerja dan memiliki anak disabilitas. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari  tiga orang yang memiliki rentan usia antara 40 – 50 tahun dengan latar belakang profesi yang berbeda – beda. Penelitian ini menemukan empat tema besar, diantaranya evaluasi kognitif terhadap status sebagai single mother yang bekerja dan memiliki anak disablitas, evaluasi afek positif atas kondisi emosional yang muncul dalam diri, pengalaman tidak menyenangkan dari subjek berupa afek negatif dalam kehidupan, serta faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan subjektif. Dari hasil temuan tema tersebut, dianalisis menggunakan metode tematik dan menemukan  bahwa ketiga subjek memiliki makna kesejahteraan subjektif yang positif dengan cara bersyukur atas kondisi kehidupan yang sekarang, meningkatkan religiusitas, serta menjalin relasi yang baik dengan lingkungan sosial terdekatnya.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the subjective well-being picture of single mothers who work and have children with disabilities. This research method is qualitative using a case study approach. The subjects of this study consisted of three people who were aged between 40-50 years with different professional backgrounds. The results of this study found four major themes including cognitive evaluation of status as a single mother who works and has children with disabilities, evaluation of positive affect on emotional conditions that arise in oneself, unpleasant experiences of the subject in the form of negative affect in life, and factors that influence subjective well-being. From the findings of the theme, it was analyzed using the thematic method and found that the three subjects had a positive subjective well-being meaning by being grateful for the current living conditions, increasing religiosity, and establishing good relationships with their closest social environment.
