Abstract
Early marriage due to pregnancy is a phenomenon that can be found among Indonesian teenagers. This study aims to determine the dynamics of self-acceptance of adolescent girls related to pregnancy outside of marriage and early marriage. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Two women aged 20 years were recruited as research subjects based on the criteria for undergoing early marriage due to pregnancy. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. This study found 3 major themes, namely understanding of oneself and the environment, the state of oneself during pregnancy until marriage, and the state of oneself after marriage. The results showed that the two participants had different self-acceptance. One participant experienced positive self-acceptance as seen from the positive emotions that emerged, interactions with the environment and family. One of the participants experienced negative acceptance as seen from more negative emotions after marriage because they lived separately from their husbands, were not accepted by their families and still withdrew from the environment.
