KESEJAHTERAAN SUBJEKTIF PADA IBU DENGAN ANAK DOWN SYNDROME

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kesejahteraan subjektif ibu yang memiliki anak down syndrome. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah tiga orang ibu dengan anak down syndrome dan rentan usia 49-56 tahun. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan wawancara semiterstruktur dan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh tiga tema besar antara lain, evaluasi atau penilaian diri secara negatif, evaluasi atau penilaian diri secara positif, dan faktor-faktor penentu kesejahteraan subjektif pada subjek penelitian. Evaluasi atau penilaian diri secara negatif dari ketiga subjek mencakup afek dan pikiran negatif. Kemampuan evaluasi atau penilaian diri yang positif ditunjukkan melalui afek dan pikiran positif dari ketiga subjek. Faktor-faktor penentu kesejahteraan subjektif pada subjek penelitian terdiri dari faktor penghambat dan faktor pendukung. Faktor penghambatnya berupa perlakuan tidak menyenangkan dari orang lain dan kesulitan dalam mengasuh anak down syndrome. Faktor pendukungnya adalah dukungan sosial, hubungan sosial, serta pemaknaan terhadap kondisi yang dihadapi dan persiapan masa depan.

Abstract
This study aims to determine the description of subjective wellbeing in mothers who have down syndrome children. The research method used is qualitative with case study approach. The research subjects were three mothers with down syndrome children and aged 49-56 years. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of this study obtained three major themes, there are, negative self-evaluation, positive self-evaluation, and determinants of subjective wellbeing in research subjects. Negative self-evaluation of the three subjects consists of negative affects and thoughts. Positive self-evaluation ability is shown through the positive affects and thoughts from the three subjects. Determinants of subjective wellbeing in research subjects consists of inhibiting factors and supporting factors. The inhibiting factors are unpleasant treatment from other people and difficulties in raising children with down syndrome. The supporting factors are social supports, social relationships, also the meaning of conditions they face and future preparations.
