BURNOUT AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA YANG SEDANG MENEMPUH TUGAS AKHIR

Abstrak
Menyelesaikan tugas akhir untuk mahasiswa dapat menimbulkan burnout karena berbagai tantangan dan kesulitan yang dihadapi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dinamika faktor-faktor burnout pada mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Negeri Surabaya yang menyelesaikan tugas akhir artikel ilmiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek sebanyak empat orang yang masing -masing berusia 21 hingga 22 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara semi terstruktur, analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana, dengan menganalisis data hasil wawancara yang selanjutnya dilakukan proses interpretasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperoleh tiga tema besar yaitu penyebab terjadinya burnout, akibat dari burnout, dan cara mengatasi burnout. Penyebab terjadi burnout pada keempat subjek antara lain adalah relasi yang kurang baik dengan dosen, kurangnya penghargaan, work overload, dan merasakan ketidakadilan. Dari faktor penyebab tersebut kemudian burnout akademik berdampak pada mental dan keseharian dari setiap mahasiswa. Untuk menghindari dari burnout, subjek melakukan pendekatan baik melalui pendekatan internal maupun eksternal.

Abstract
Completing final assignments for students can cause burnout due to the various challenges and difficulties they face. The purpose of this study was to determine the dynamics of burnout factors in Psychology students at the State University of Surabaya who completed the final project of a scientific article. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects were four people, each aged 21 to 22 years. Data collection techniques were carried out by semi-structured interviews, data analysis using data analysis techniques from the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models, by analyzing the data from interviews which were then carried out by the data interpretation process. The results of this study obtained three major themes, namely the causes of burnout, the consequences of burnout, and how to overcome burnout. The causes of burnout in the four subjects include poor relations with lecturers, lack of appreciation, work overload, and feeling of injustice. From these factors, academic burnout has an impact on the mental and daily life of every student. To avoid burnout, the subject approaches both internally and externally.
