Abstract

Education is one of the main needs in human life to be able to carry out their daily activities properly. Education about caring for the environment is very important to learn as a contribution to environmental preservation when the level of pollution and global warning is getting worse. This study aims to analyze the construction of environmental awareness awareness for SMAN 12 Surabaya residents in adiwiyata-based schools. This study uses a qualitative approach and social construction theory by Peter L. Berger. The research method used by the author is a case study method. Research data collection techniques using interview and observation methods. Research data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that SMAN 12 Surabaya has a good environmental awareness construction. This can be seen from the stages of Externalization, Objectivation and Internalization that have been formed.
