PEMBUATAN ZEOLIT ALAM TERAKTIVASI HCl DAN KARAKTERISASINYA MAKING ACTIVATED NATURAL ZEOLITE AND CHARACTERIZATION

Abstract

Abstrak. Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pemanfaatan zeolit alam teraktivasi HCl 5M dan karakterisasinya menggunakan FTIR dan Surface Area Analyzer (SAA). Hasil karakterisasi kimia menggunakan FTIR menunjukan adanya gugus fungsi O-H di panjang gelombang 3425,69 cm-1 gugus fungsi Si-OH atau Al-OH pada panjang gelombang 1639,55 cm1 dan gugus fungsi Si-O-Si atau Al-O-Al pada panjang gelombang 1087,89 cm-1 dan 794,7 cm-1. Hasil analisis luas permukaan dilakukan menggunakan instrument Surface Area Analyzer (SAA). Hasil analisis menunjukan luas permukaan zeolit alam dan zeolit teraktivasi sebesar 6,376 m2/g dan 86,724 m2/g.

Abstract. Research has been carried out aimed at utilizing natural zeolite activated 5M HCl and characterization using FTIR and Surface Area Analyzer (SAA). chemical characterization activated natural zeolite used spectrophotometer FTIR showed that functional group such as O-H 3425,69 cm-1 Si-OH or Al-OH 1639,55 cm1 and Si-O-Si or Al-O-Al 1087,89 cm-1 and 794,7 cm-1.
