Abstract
This study aims to determine the psychological impact that occurs on women with experiences of dating violence and how participants cope with these impacts. The prevalence in Indonesia states that the percentage of violence is more prevalent against women perpetrated by close people or unmarried couples. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were two women with the appropriate criteria and needed by researchers with each participant having two significant others. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews using interview guidelines and using coding analysis techniques on the data that had been obtained. The results of this study indicate that having the same experience of dating violence does not mean that it has the same psychological impact. Based on the results of the study, the psychological impact that appears is also influenced by several factors, one of which is low age, the interval of cases taking place, behavior that supports violence, and the vulnerability to being controlled and forced to do something. Psychological impacts that appear on the two participants include disruption of daily activities, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and confidence, and negative self-concept.
