HUBUNGAN ANTARA DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TEMAN SEBAYA DAN SELF-REGULATED LEARNING PADA MAHASISWA TAHUN PERTAMA DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Kemampuan self-regulated learning berperan penting bagi mahasiswa tahun pertama yang dituntut untuk lebih mandiri karena pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi berbeda dengan di sekolah menegah, terlebih di masa pandemi. Self-regulated learning dapat dipengaruhi faktor lingkungan sosial, termasuk dukungan sosial teman sebaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan self-regulated learning pada mahasiswa di masa pandemi Covid-19 dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh yang melibatkan seluruh anggota populasi sebanyak 156 mahasiswa tahun pertama jurusan X angkatan 2020, sejumlah 60 mahasiswa diantaranya digunakan untuk tryout dan sisanya didapatkan 94 mahasiswa aktif yang telah mengisi kuesioner digunakan untuk penelitian. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala self-regulated learning dan Peer Support Questionnaire (PSQ). Analisis data menggunakan uji Product Moment Pearson dengan bantuan SPSS 24.0 diperoleh nilai p 0,000<0,05 dan koefisien korelasi r=0,598 yang menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif yang cukup kuat antara kedua variabel. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi dukungan sosial teman sebaya, maka semakin tinggi pula self-regulated learning mahasiswa.

Abstract

The ability of self-regulated learning plays an important role for first year students who are required to be more independent because learning in college is different from learning in secondary schools, especially during pandemic. Self-regulated learning can be influenced by social environment, including social support from peers. This study aims to determine the relationship between peer social support and self-regulated learning in college students during the Covid-19 pandemic using correlational quantitative research methods. The sampling technique used is saturated sample involving all members of the population as many as 156 first year X majoring students class of 2020, a total of 60 of them were used for tryouts, and the remaining 94 active students who had filled oud questionnaires were used for research.  The research instrument used is the self-regulated learning scale and Peer Support Questionnaire (PSQ). Data analysis using Pearson's Product Moment test with the help of SPSS 24.0. obtained p value 0.000<0.05 and correlation coefficient r=0.598 which indicates a fairly strong positive correlation between two variables. This means that the higher peer social support, the higher student’s self-regulated learning.
