HUBUNGAN ANTARA JOB CHARACTERISTICS DENGAN EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT PADA KARYAWAN PT X

Abstrak
Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara job characteristics dengan employee engagement pada karyawan PT X. Metode yang digunakan yakni menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 80 karyawan bagian manajemen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala employee engagement dan skala job characteristics. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisa data product moment dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 25.0 for windows. Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan antara job characteristics dengan employee engagement pada karyawan PT X. Hal ini dibuktikan dari taraf signifikansi sebesar 0.000 (p < 0.05) dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,865. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara job characteristics dengan employee engagement pada karyawan PT X, sehingga semakin tinggi job characteristics maka akan semakin tinggi pula employee engagement, dan berlaku sebaliknya. Jika nilai job characteristics yang didapatkan rendah, maka nilai employee engagement yang akan didapatkan juga rendah.

Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between job characteristics and employee engagement at PT X employees. The method used is a quantitative approach. The subjects used in this study were 80 employees of the management department. The data collection technique used an employee engagement scale and a job characteristics scale. In this study using product moment data analysis using SPSS version 25.0 for windows. The results of data analysis showed that there was a relationship between job characteristics and employee engagement in PT X employees. This was evidenced by a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.865. Based on the results of the data analysis, it is concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between job characteristics and employee engagement in PT X employees, so that the higher the job characteristics, the higher the employee engagement, and vice versa. If the value of the job characteristics obtained is low, then the value of employee engagement that will be obtained is also low.
