Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between peer attachment and emotion regulation in final year students. The method used is a quantitative research method with correlational techniques, namely to determine the extent to which the independent variable is related to the dependent variable so that it can answer the hypothesis that has been formulated. The sampling technique in this study was a saturated sample, that is, all of the population was used as a subject, namely 189 students majoring in psychology according to the criteria of the research subject, 39 students were used for the tryout and 150 students were used for data collection. This research was conducted using a peer attachment scale and emotion regulation which will be analyzed using the IBM SPSS 22 application for windows. Analysis of the data used in this study is the Pearson Product Moment Correlation with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.525. These results indicate that peer attachment and emotion regulation have a significant positive relationship with a moderate level of closeness.
Keywords: peer attachment, emotion regulation, final-year students.
