About the Journal

Tentang
Kajian Moral dan Kewarganegaraan ini merupakan jurnal online yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi S-1 Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn), Jurusan PMP-KN, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIPOL) Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Jurnal yang sebelumnya terbit tiga kali dalam setahun, sejak tahun 2022 terbit empat kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu pada bulan Februari, Mei, Agustus, dan November ini memuat hasil-hasil penelitian di bidang pendidikan, ideologi, politik, sosial, hukum dalam perspektif pendidikan moral dan kewarganegaraan.

Focus and Scope
This journal is an open-access journal for writers and readers. This journal focuses on thoughts and studies in the field of Pancasila moral education, character education, learning practices, learning evaluation, learning media, learning resources, Sociological, Anthropological, Political, Legal studies related to the problems of moral and citizenship education in the scope of formal education (schools), informal education (families), or non-formal education (society).

Peer Review Process
All articles submitted to the KMKn journal will be selected and reviewed privately by two reviewers who are experts in their fields. Acceptance of articles depends on their suitability to the scope and focus of the journal, the accuracy of the content, the degree of originality, recency, clarity of description, and the contribution of the article.

The Editorial Board's decision on the submitted article is that it can be accepted without revision, accepted with minor revisions, accepted with major revisions, or rejected. The results of the article review by the reviewer will be notified to the author via email. The author is allowed to revise his article according to the reviewer's (and editor's) suggestions no later than 8 weeks after the notification email.

To prevent plagiarism, all submitted articles will be checked for originality using Turnitin anti-plagiarism software. The entire peer review process until the publication of the article is free of charge (no article processing and submission charges).

All articles published in KMKn are open access and follow the Creative Commons: Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license. The full license can be seen here.

Publication Frequency
Kajian Moral dan Kewarganegaraan (KMKn) is a peer-reviewed journal managed and published by the Department of PMP-KN FISIPOL Unesa. Published periodically four times a year in February, May, August, and November.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History
In accordance with the strategic plan of the PPKn study program, a journal called Kajian Moral dan Kewarganegaraan was designed. This journal is a new journal that accommodates the needs of developing synthetic civics disciplines. This journal was first published in 2013 in print form. At its inception, the KMKn Journal was published three times a year, but since 2022, the KMKn Journal has been published four times a year, namely in February, May, August, and November.
