Plagiarism Policy

Kajian Moral dan Kewarganegaraan (KMKn) accepts only original manuscripts that have not been published and are not under submission or consideration by another journal or publisher. Authors are responsible for the originality of their work, accurate citation, and proper acknowledgment of sources.

Similarity Screening

All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin during the initial editorial assessment. Under KMKn policy, manuscripts with a similarity score below 20% meet the administrative requirement for consideration at the next editorial stage.

Editorial Assessment

A similarity score indicates text overlap and does not, by itself, establish plagiarism. Editors assess matched sources, citation practices, quotations, and the context of overlapping text. Manuscripts raising concerns about academic integrity may be returned for revision or rejected according to the nature and severity of the issue.

Manuscripts with a similarity score of 20% or higher are assessed to determine whether revision or rejection is appropriate. A score below the threshold neither guarantees the absence of plagiarism nor acceptance for publication.
