PERAN SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KESADARAN POLITIK SISWA DI SMA ASSAADAH BUNGGAH GRESIK

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: mendeskripsiskan peran sekolah dalam meningkatkan kesadaran politik siswa di SMA Assa’adah Bungah Gresik. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori peran Biddle and Thomas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling.Untuk informan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah SMAAssa’, Waka Kurikulum, Waka Kesiswaan dan Siswa SMA Assa’adah Bungah Gresik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah sebagai komponen terpenting pendidikan pada dasarnya dapat di jadikan sebagai pendidikan politik untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran politik generasi bangsa melalui melalui berbagai macam bentuk program pendidikan politik baik melalui mata pelajaran PKn, kegiatan OSIS maupun bentuk kegiatan lain yang terencana ataupun yang bersifat insidental yang bermaksud untuk memberikan informasi politik kepada siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to describe the school’s role to improve the student political awareness at Assa’adah Senior High School, Bungah Gresik. The theory used in this research is he role theory of Biddle and Thomas. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive research type with purposive sampling technique For informants in this study were high school principals of Assaadah Bungah gresik, school principals, vice principals in the Curriculum section, vice principals of Student Affairs and Assaadah Bungah High School Gresik students. The results show that schools as the most important component of education can basically be used as political education to foster political awareness of the nations generation through various forms of political education programs either through civic education subjects, intra-school student orientation activities or other planned activities or incidental which intends to provide political information to students.
