1. Purpose

The Originality Statement confirms that a manuscript submitted to MATHEdunesa is original and that its authorship is accurate. It supports the Authorship, Plagiarism Policy, and Gen-AI Utilization policies.

2. Submission Requirement

At submission, the Corresponding Author must upload a signed Originality Statement as a supplementary PDF file through the journal’s OJS, on behalf of all Authors. A missing, unsigned, or incomplete statement may lead to the manuscript being returned to the Authors before editorial processing continues.

By signing, the Corresponding Author confirms, on behalf of all Authors, that:

  1. the manuscript is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal;
  2. all sources are properly cited, directly quoted text is placed in quotation marks, and any related prior publication (including theses and conference papers) is disclosed;
  3. the manuscript has been checked for similarity and meets the limit stated in the Plagiarism Policy (similarity below 25%);
  4. any use of generative AI tools is declared in the manuscript, in accordance with Gen-AI Utilization;
  5. the Author list and order are correct, every Author has made an accountable contribution, and the Author Contributions Statement is accurate;
  6. the manuscript involves no guest, gift, honorary, ghost, purchased, or transferred authorship;
  7. data and results are genuine and have not been fabricated, falsified, or manipulated;
  8. necessary permissions have been obtained for any third-party material, and required ethical approval and consent were obtained;
  9. all Authors have been informed of and agree with this statement and have approved the submitted manuscript.

4. Changes in Authorship

If the Author list or order changes after submission, an updated, signed Originality Statement is required, as described in Authorship.
