The Relationship Between Alcohol Consumption With Stress Levels And Nutritional Status Among Collage Students From Lumajang City

Abstract

Nutrition status is the condition or size of a person's body that can be seen through food consumed and using nutrients that enter the body. Nutritional status can affect many complex aspects by being interrelated, including psychology (including stress) and food intake. The purpose of research is to know the correlation of alcohol consumption of stress levels and nutritional status of students from Lumajang city. Research using an analytical design cross-sectional research method uses 105 people aged 20-24 years in Lumajang sub-district. The instruments used in this study were Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) question sheets, Semi Quantitative food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) question sheets, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) form sheets, Weight Measurement Tools and Height. Information-gathering techniques are carried out with pickups, interviews. The collected data were then analyzed using the Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS) application. Research has shown that p=0.326) p<0.05) there is no correlation between alcohol consumption and student stress levels. The chi-square test obtained a p=0.908 (p–0.05) based on statistical tests found that the hypothesis was rejected, resulting in a lack of correlation between alcohol consumption and the nutritional status of Lumajang students.
