Abstrak
Masalah penelitian ini yaitu pada proses pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 5 Sidoarjo masih berbasis behaviorisme. Guru melakukan penekanan dalam aspek pengetahuan, fakta serta konsep yang memiliki sifat hafalan. Media yang digunakan buku paket, LKS, PPT, serta vidio pembelajaran terkait materi yang akan dipelajari. Namun tak banyak dari vidio tersebut sesuai dengan materi pembelajaran dan kurang menarik perhatian siswa agar termotivasi belajar IPS. Studi ini mempunyai tujuan guna mengidentifikasi dampak vidio dokumenter muatan lokal berbasis vlog atas semangat/motivasi belajar murid di mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 5 Sidoarjo. Studi ini memakai metode kuantitatif jenis eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data memakai kuesioner. Pengujian validitas dan uji reabilitas yaitu uji instrumen yang dipergunakan di dalam kegiatan studi ini. Metode analisis data yang dipakai pengujian asumsi klasik, uji model regresi linier sederhana serta pengujian hipotesis. Hasil studi memperlihatkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara vidio dokumenter muatan lokal berbasis vlog atas semangat belajar siswa di mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 5 Sidoarjo. Dari uji koefisien diterminasi diketahui terdapat pengaruh video dokumenter muatan lokal berbasis vlog sebesar 52.2% atas semangat belajar murid di mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 5 Sidoarjo.

Abstract
The problem with this research is that the social studies learning process at SMP Negeri 5 Sidoarjo are still based on behaviorism. The teacher emphasizes aspects of knowledge, facts, and concepts with the help of the rote method. The media used are textbooks, worksheets, PPT, and learning videos related to the material to be studied. However, not many of the videos are relevant to the learning material and are not successful to attract the attention of students to be motivated to learn social studies. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of vlog-based on local content documentary videos on students learning motivation in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 5 Sidoarjo. This study uses a quantitative experimental type method. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Validity test and reliability test are test instruments used in this research activity. The analysis technique utilized for the research is simple linear regression model test, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. It was found that there was a meaningful effect between vlog-based local content documentary videos on students learning motivation in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 5 Sidoarjo. From the termination coefficient test, it is concluded that there is an impact of 52.2% of vlog-based local content documentary videos on students learning motivation in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 5 Sidoarjo.
