HUBUNGAN PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL DENGAN MENTAL TOUGHNESS PADA ATLET BELADIRI

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan psychological capital dengan mental toughness pada atlet beladiri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif non eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel jenuh. Penelitian melibatkan 60 orang atlet meliputi 32 atlet laki-laki dan 28 atlet perempuan dengan rentang usia subjek 15-18 tahun. Berasal dari cabang olahraga beladiri yang terdiri dari cabang olahraga gulat, karate, judo, pencak silat, taekwondo. Data diperoleh dari skala psychological capital dan mental toughness. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan uji korelasi pearson correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan positif antara psychological capital dengan mental toughness dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0.716 dengan taraf signifikansi 0.000. Semakin tinggi psychological capital seorang atlet beladiri maka semakin tinggi pula mental toughness atlet tersebut. Hal ini karena psychological capital mampu membuat atlet memiliki optimisme, resiliensi, daya juang yang tinggi, keinginan untuk sukses, dapat mengatur emosi, lebih percaya diri, dan dapat berkembang ke arah yang positif untuk meningkatkan mental toughness. Atlet beladiri dapat mengekspresikan melalui tujuan yang jelas seperti mendapatkan juara saat bertanding serta memiliki upaya untuk meraihnya dan mampu bangkit apabila mengalami kegagalan.

Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between psychological capital and mental toughness in martial athletes. The method used in this study is a non-experimental quantitative method. This study uses a saturated sample. The study involved 60 athletes including 32 male athletes and 28 female athletes with a subject age range of 15-18 years. Derived from the martial arts branch consisting of wrestling, karate, judo, pencak silat, taekwondo. Data obtained from the scale of psychological capital and mental toughness. The data analysis technique used was the Pearson correlation test. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between psychological capital and mental toughness with a coefficient value of 0.716 with a significance level of 0.000. The higher the psychological capital of a martial athlete, the higher the mental toughness of the athlete. This is because psychological capital is able to make athletes have optimism, resilience, high fighting power, desire to succeed, can regulate emotions, be more confident, and can develop in a positive direction to increase mental toughness. Martial athletes can express through clear goals such as getting a champion when competing and having the effort to achieve it and being able to get up if they fail.
