Hubungan Stres dengan Self Image pada Dewasa Awal Penderita Acne Vulgaris

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi fenomena tuntutan ingin memiliki penampilan ideal yang mempengaruhi penampilan citra diri ketika mengalami kondisi acne vulgaris. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan stres dengan self image pada dewasa awal penderita acne vulgaris. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan, yaitu incidental sampling dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 100 mahasiswa yang berjerawat. Instrumen yang digunakan, yaitu skala Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-14) dan skala self image. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,512 dan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Berdasarkan data tersebut ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara stres dengan self image pada dewasa awal penderita acne vulgaris. Semakin tinggi tingkat stres maka akan semakin rendah self image.
