PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW DENGAN METODE SNOWBALL DRILLING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah dilaksanakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dengan metode Snowball Drilling. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Jombang menggunakan dua kelas sebagai sampel yaitu satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara random sampling. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experimental design. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi, tes dengan instrumen tes yang berupa soal pilihan ganda yang akan dikerjakan oleh peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran, dan angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada kedua kelas yang telah diamati dari aktivitas guru dan peserta didik pada dua pertemuan dinyatakan telah terlaksana dengan baik. 2) Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan hasil belajar peserta didik menunjukkan kedua kelas sampel mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar. 3) Respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw menggunakan metode Snowball Drilling termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of describing the implementation and to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes after the Jigsaw cooperative learning model was implemented using the Snowball Drilling method. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Jombang using two classes as samples, namely one experimental class and one control class selected by random sampling, with the type of research used is true experimental design. The research method used is observation method, response questionnaire and test with a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions to be done by students before and after learning. The results showed: 1) The implementation of learning in the two classes that had been observed from the activation of the teacher and students in the two meetings was well implemented. 2) Based on the results of calculations on learning outcomes, the two sample classes experienced an increase in learning outcomes. 3) Based on the results of the questionnaire responses students showed the response of students to the Jigsaw cooperative learning model using the Snowball Drilling method included in the very excellent based on the category.
