Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami makna interaksi parasosial antara remaja dengan idola K-Pop dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Lima partisipan berusia remaja akhir diwawancarai secara mendalam dan dianalisis secara tematik. hasil menunjukkan bahwa interaksi parasosial mencakup aspek kognitif, afektif, dan perilaku, serta berperan dalam membentuk identitas dan memberi motivasi. Idola dimaknai sebagai panutan karena adanya kesamaan nilai dan minat. Interaksi ini menjadi ruang reflektif yang mendukung perkembangan diri remaja.
Abstract
This study aims to understand the meaning of parasocial interaction between adolescents and K-Pop idols in their daily lives. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was employed. Five late-adolescent participants were interviewed in-depth, and the data were analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that parasocial interaction encompasses cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects, and plays a role in shaping identity and providing motivation. Idols are perceived as a role models dua to shared values and interests. This interaction serves as a reflective space that supports adolescents’ personal development.
