L Literature Study on the Influence of Work Motivation on Employee Productivity

In today's competitive work environment, the competition among companies is fierce. Therefore, it requires employees who possess integrity, expertise, discipline, and high responsibility in carrying out their tasks. This is important to enhance workforce efficiency, provide quality services, and strengthen competitiveness both domestically and internationally. However, ironically, there are still employees who are unproductive in their work. Several literature sources indicate that work motivation influences work productivity. This research aims to determine whether there is a relationship between work motivation and employee productivity. This research method is qualitative, utilizing literature review as a data source from accredited journal articles at both national and international levels within the past five years, to identify the relationship between work motivation and employee productivity. The research findings indicate a correlation between work motivation and employee productivity. These findings are consistent with previous studies stating that work motivation has a positive and significant impact on employee productivity. Productivity will increase in line with high levels of work motivation, while low work motivation among employees will have a negative impact on their productivity.
