SINTESIS DAN KARAKTERISASI HIDROGEL KITOSAN-LIDAH BUAYA (Aloe vera)-LENDIR BEKICOT (Achatina fulica)

Abstrak

Hidrogel merupakan sediaan topikal yang dirancang lebih praktis dalam mendukung proses penyembuhan luka lebih cepat. Hidrogel harus mempunyai karakteristik seperti biokompatibel, tidak beracun, sensitif terhadap lingkungan fisiologis, serta fleksibilitas yang baik. Karakter tersebut membuka peluang hidrogel dapat diaplikasikan di biomedis dengan kombinasi bahan-bahan yang memiliki efek sinergis. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mensintesis hidrogel dengan mengkombinasikan kitosan, lidah buaya, dan lendir bekicot. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan sintesis hidrogel dengan variasi penambahan lidah buaya sebesar 5%, 10%, dan 15% (b/b) yang kemudian dilakukan karakterisasi secara fisika dan kimia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semakin banyak penambahan lidah buaya maka meningkatkan daya sebarnya dan menurunkan daya lekat dari hidrogel. Dengan hasil uji karakterisasi uji daya sebar pada rentang 5,07 – 5,34 cm dan uji daya lekat 16 – 44 detik.
