Abstract
Mothers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often face complex emotional and psychological challenges. This study aims to examine the relationship between perceived social support and emotional intelligence with self-compassion in mothers of children with ASD. This research used a quantitative correlational approach with a total of 62 mothers selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used were the Perceived Social Support Scale based on Zimet's dimensions (1988), the Emotional Intelligence Scale based on Goleman’s dimensions (1985), and the Self-Compassion Scale based on Neff's dimensions (2003), all of which were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation and multiple correlation tests. The results showed that perceived social support and emotional intelligence simultaneously contributed significantly to self-compassion, accounting for 80.3% of the variance. The remaining 19.7% is influenced by variables outside the study.
