Dampak Psikologis dan Sosial Ibu Rumah Tangga Pasca Kematian Suami: Sebuah Analisis Fenomenologis

Kematian pasangan merupakan peristiwa kehilangan yang menimbulkan dampak psikologis mendalam, khususnya bagi ibu rumah tangga yang harus beradaptasi dengan peran ganda sebagai ibu tunggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak psikologis, emosional, sosial, dan ekonomi yang dialami ibu rumah tangga setelah kematian suami. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis dengan empat partisipan ibu rumah tangga yang kehilangan suami. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan dianalisis menggunakan Interperative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Temuan menunjukkan partisipan mengalami dampak emosional berupa shock, perasaan hampa, kesedihan mendalam, dan penyesalan. Dampak sosial meliputi kehilangan dukungan emosional suami, perubahan peran menjadi kepala keluarga, dan isolasi sosial. Dampak ekonomi mencakup kesulitan finansial akibat kehilangan pencari nafkah utama Ibu rumah tangga mengalami dampak multidimensional pascakehilangan suami yang memengaruhi aspek emosional, sosial, dan ekonomi kehidupan. Anak menjadi sumber motivasi utama untuk bertahan dan beradaptasi dengan kehidupan baru.
Abstract
Spousal loss is a significant life event that causes profound psychological impacts, particularly for housewives who must adapt to dual role as single mothers. Objective: This study aims to explore the psychological, emotional, social, and economic impacts experienced by housewives after their husba’d's death. This qualitative phenomenological study involved four housewife participants who lost their husbands. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Findings indicate participants experienced emotional impacts include loss of husband’s emotional support, role changes as family head, and social isolation. Economic impacts encompass financial difficulties due to loss of primary breadwinner. Housewives experience multidimensional impacts after spousal loss affecting emotional, social, and economic aspects of their lives. Children become the main source od motivation to survive and adapt to new life.
