Hubungan antara Work Life Balance dengan Job Hopping pada Karyawan Generasi Z di PT.X Surabaya

Latar belakang penelitian ini berdasarkan fenomena tingginya perpindahan khususnya pada karyawan generasi Z yang lebih mengutamakan fleksibilitas tanpa mempertimbangkan masa kerja saat ini. Dengan adanya pertimbangan fleksibilitas, karyawan generasi Z mengutamakan adanya keseimbangan antara dua peran atau lebih yang dijalani. Perpindahan pekerjaan yang tinggi akan berdampak langsung pada perusahaan, maka dari itu pentingnya mengetahui faktor-faktor meningkatnya Job Hopping. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara Work Life Balance dengan Job Hopping pada karyawan generasi Z di PT.X Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif untuk mengetahui korelasi variabel. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan berjumlah 169 karyawan generasi Z rentang usia 22-30 tahun pada saat ini. Dengan 30 karyawan sebagai subjek uji coba alat ukur dan 139 karyawan sebagai data penelitian utama. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa nilai koefisien korelasi yang diterima adalah -0.722. Berdasarkan nilai koefisien tersebut dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa adanya korelasi yang kuat serta signifikan antara Work Life Balance dengan Job Hopping pada karyawan generasi Z di PT.X Surabaya. Dengan arah hubungan negatif yang memiliki makna bahwa ketika tingkat Work Life Balance yang dirasakan karyawan rendah, maka tingkat Job Hopping karyawan akan tinggi. Berlaku juga sebaliknya, karyawan dengan tingkat Work Life Balance yang tinggi akan memiliki Job Hopping yang rendah.
Abstract
Background of this study based on the phenomenon of high turnover, especially among generation Z employees who prioritize flexibility without considering the current work period. With the consideration of flexibility, generation Z employees prioritize a balance between two or more roles that are carried out. High job turnover will have a direct impact on the company, therefore it is important to know the factors that increase Job Hopping. This study aims to identify the relationship between Work Life Balance and Job Hopping in generation Z employees at PT.X Surabaya. The research method used is quantitative to determine the correlation of variables. The research subjects used were 169 generation Z employees aged 22-30 years at this time. With 30 employees as test subjects for measuring instruments and 139 employees as the main research data. The results of this study revealed that the correlation coefficient value received was -0.722. Based on the coefficient value, it can be interpreted that there is a strong and significant correlation between Work Life Balance and Job Hopping in generation Z employees at PT.X Surabaya. With a negative relationship direction which means that when the level of Work Life Balance felt by employees is low, the level of employee Job Hopping will be high. The opposite also applies, employees with a high level of Work Life Balance will have low Job Hopping.
