Hubungan parasosial, kesejahteraan subjektif, penggemar k-popAbstract
Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between parasocial relationship and subjective well-being among K-Pop fans in the emerging adulthood age range (18–29 years). A parasocial relationship refers to a one-sided emotional bond experienced by fans toward their idols, while subjective well being are individuals cognitive and affective evaluations of their lives. This research used a quantitative correlational method with purposive sampling, involving 120 respondents from the KPOPERS JATIM Surabaya community. Data were collected using the Parasocial Relationship Scale and Subjective Well Being Scale, both of which were tested for validity and reliability. Pearson correlation analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between parasocial relationship and subjective well-being, with a correlation coefficient of 0.477 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the stronger a fan’s parasocial relationship with their idol, the higher their subjective well-being.
