Abstract
This study is based on the abundance of research on parenting children with special needs, which tends to focus primarily on mothers. However, the contributions of fathers in parenting, especially for children with special needs, have not received adequate attention. Fathers often face significant challenges in various aspects-emotional, financial, and social-which can lead to emotional exhaustion. Therefore, this study aims to explore the nature of emotional exhaustion and the factors influencing it among fathers of children with special needs at Therapy Center X. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews with three participants. The collected data were then analyzed using thematic analysis, supplemented by information from individuals close to each participant. The results of the study indicate signs of emotional exhaustion among fathers of children with special needs at Therapy Center X. This is evident from all participants, who exhibited physical, emotional, and mental aspects of exhaustion, with workload identified as the most influential factor.
