Hubungan Efikasi Diri dengan Kesiapan Kerja pada Mahasiswa Akhir yang Berkuliah di Surabaya

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kesiapan kerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam menghadapi transisi menuju dunia kerja yang kompetitif. Salah satu faktor psikologis yang diduga berperan dalam meningkatkan kesiapan kerja adalah efikasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan kesiapan kerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan melibatkan 154 mahasiswa semester akhir sebagai partisipan. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari General Self-Efficacy Scale dan Work Readiness Scale yang telah diadaptasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara daring melalui Google Form. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment, didahului oleh uji asumsi normalitas dan linearitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan kesiapan kerja (r = 0.579; p < 0.001). Artinya, semakin tinggi efikasi diri mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula kesiapan kerja yang dimiliki. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri merupakan faktor penting yang perlu dikembangkan untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja.
Abstract
This study is motivated by the importance of work readiness among final-year students as they transition into an increasingly competitive job market. One psychological factor that is presumed to play a role in enhancing work readiness is self-efficacy. This research aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness in final-year university students in Surabaya. The study employed a quantitative correlational approach involving 154 final-year students as participants. The instruments used were the adapted versions of the General Self-Efficacy Scale and the Work Readiness Scale. Data were collected online using Google Forms. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test, preceded by normality and linearity assumption tests. The results showed a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness (r = 0.579; p < 0.001). This indicates that the higher the level of self-efficacy, the greater the level of work readiness among students. These findings highlight that self-efficacy is an important psychological factor that supports students’ preparedness in facing the demands of the workforce.
