Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between work life balance (WLB) and organizational commitment to employees. The phenomenon in this research is the high organizational commitment of employees even though they have problematic work life balance (WLB). This research method is quantitative with a correlation approach. The population of this study consisted of 107 employees. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with criteria including CV employees. X has irregular working hours, so we get a sample of 80 employees. Data collection uses questionnaires that are distributed directly. The measuring instruments used are the work life balance (WLB) scale based on the dimensions of McDonald & Bradley (2005) and the organizational commitment scale based on the dimensions of Meyer & Allen (1997). Data analysis used Pearson Product Moment Correlation with the help of SPSS 25.0 for Windows. The results of the analysis show a significance level of 0.043 (p<0.05), which means there is a significant relationship. The correlation coefficient value of 0.288 shows a positive number but is included in the weak correlation category. The R Square value shows a value of 0.083, which means the work life balance (WLB) variable contributes 8.3% while 91.7% is influenced by other factors.
