Celebrity Worship Syndrom di Kalangan Perempuan Dewasa Awal Penggemar K-Pop

Penelitian psikologi kualitatif ini berusaha mengungkap pengalaman celebrity worship perempuan dewasa awal yang menggemari K-Pop dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur bersama kelima partisipan, yaitu perempuan yang menggemari K-Pop. Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) atas data penelitian menghasilkan tiga tema induk: a) pengalaman celebrity worship, b) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi celebrity worship, dan c) proses celebrity worship. Tema pertama menjelaskan tentang dimensi celebrity worship yang dialami oleh partisipan. Tema kedua merujuk pada faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi celebrity worship. Tema ketiga menampilkan proses para partisipan hingga mereka sampai pada perilaku celebrity worship. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa kelima partisipan memiliki celebrity worship hingga ke dimensi kedua yaitu intense-personal feeling dimana mereka merasakan perasaan yang kuat pada selebritas yang mereka sukai. Namun, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi celebrity worship ditemukan tidak signifikan terhadap celebrity worship mereka.
